
Welcome to Tonbridge Bakery School
Hi, I’m Ben — I’ve been a baker for over 12 years and have been lucky enough to work with some brilliant bakeries including Bread Ahead, The Dusty Knuckle, Wild Goose Bakery and most recently Bakery TW.
Baking has always been something I genuinely love, from long fermentation breads and pastries to simple home bakes that bring people together. One of my favourite parts of the job now is teaching baking classes and sharing the skills, tips and confidence I’ve picked up over the years.


For one special week, I’m opening up my home kitchen to teach small groups for hands-on baking classes.
Expect plenty of flour, good conversation, hands-on learning, and a few bakery secrets along the way. From pastries and doughnuts to flatbreads, pizzas and kids’ classes, each session is designed to feel welcoming, fun, and professional — whether you’re a complete beginner or already love to bake at home.
Spaces will be small to keep classes personal, relaxed, and packed with as much baking as possible. Come along, learn something new, and spend a week baking in a real working kitchen with me.

Pastel de Nata
Join us for a hands-on Pastel de Nata baking class at the Tonbridge Bakery School, where you’ll learn how to make Portugal’s famous custard tart from scratch

Doughnuts
A fun and hands-on doughnut baking class at the Tonbridge Bakery School, where you’ll learn how to make soft, fluffy doughnuts from scratch

Pastry. Full Day
Spend the day baking a selection of classic sweet and savoury pastries in this full-day hands-on workshop.

Flatbreads & Meze
A relaxed and hands-on evening Flatbread & Meze class, where we’ll bake 3 different flatbreads from scratch and create 3 delicious homemade meze to enjoy together

Pizza & Tiramus
A fun and relaxed evening baking class where we’ll be making authentic Detroit-style pizza and classic homemade tiramisu from scratch
